A few things you need to know before using LiFePO4 batteries
When using lithium iron phosphate batteries, you need to pay attention to the following points to ensure the safety of the battery and extend its service life:
1. First use:
Check whether the battery and electrical contact parts are clean. If necessary, wipe them with a damp cloth and install them according to the correct polarity after drying.
Do not mix old and new batteries, and do not mix different types of batteries.
2. Charging precautions:
Use the charger specified by the manufacturer to ensure that the model matches. Avoid high-temperature charging. The ambient temperature should be around 25℃.
Do not expose the battery to sunlight during charging to avoid overheating.
Avoid overcharging and over-discharging, and keep the battery power between 20% and 80% for cyclic charging and discharging.
If it is found that the battery has not turned on after charging for 10 hours continuously, stop charging and check the battery temperature.
3. Discharge precautions:
Avoid long-term low-power state, and try to charge as you use.
When the battery voltage drops below 2.5V, avoid continued use to prevent excessive discharge.
4. Usage environment and storage precautions:
The optimal operating temperature range of lithium iron phosphate batteries is 25℃ to 45℃. Avoid using them in extreme temperature environments.
When not in use for a long time, the battery should be fully charged and stored in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
5. Safety precautions:
Avoid short circuit and heating of the battery, and do not disassemble the battery.
Regularly check the appearance and connection parts of the battery to ensure that there is no damage and corrosion.
Follow the safety operating procedures to ensure the safe operation of the battery in various application scenarios.
